Choro is a Brazilian music style, very popular in the 1920s and 1930s, but still popular nowadays. This blog wants to share our passion for this music and its musicians like Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim and Garoto, but also the contemporary generation of young talented musicans like Yamandú Costa. ![]() Hit of the Week - Durium Project blog The card board Hit of the week - Durium records were released during the Depression years early 1930s, as a weekly, cheap, unbreakable and "durable" record in the US and Europe. This blog is dedicated to these rare ephemeral flexible records, which were released 80 years ago now. The flexible cardboard Durium records, with its most well known label Hit of the Week, its discography and the release of the Complete Hit of the Week Recordings set, are the most important subject of this unique blog for 78-rpm records collectors. The blog was founded in 2006 by Hans Koert, author of the Hit of the Week-Durium discographies hitoftheweek@live.nl Visit my site with links to all contributions.

This blog was founded in September 2006 by Hans Koert as a continuation of the Hit of the Week-Durium project, the most well known flexible record from the 1930s.
